Ian brings over 25 years of invaluable experience in the local building environment to his independent consultancy. Having previously served as a partner at Brymer and Associates Architects, Ian was instrumental in the successful completion of numerous projects across Knysna, the Garden Route, and even further afield in the Cape Peninsula and Zimbabwe. His responsibilities encompassed architectural supervision and office management.
During his tenure at Brymer and Associates, the firm’s philosophy mirrored a holistic approach, extending beyond traditional architectural design and supervision to encompass all facets of the build environment. This was particularly crucial for clients, many of whom were not garden route residents and required a comprehensive, turnkey service from initial concept to final handover.
Now, leveraging this extensive experience and a BSc degree, Ian has established his own consultancy. He offers a truly holistic and outcomes-based advisory service tailored to homeowners, business operators, and educational institutions undertaking building projects within this region.
